Richard Arnold Guitars
"I purchased a hand made Traveller Guitalele from Richard Arnold Guitars and I received great personal service, the Guitalele has a superb warm tone, sustain and great intonation as you would expect from a quality hand made product."
AO, Cambridgeshire, England
"I was introduced to Richard and I was told he was very detailed and thorough in his work.
I’d already selected the wood and had a template. I met with Richard and we talked through the design and options for the guitar. Throughout the process Richard came up with creative ideas that were based on themes he’d picked from our conversations.
Also Richard sent me very regular updates and photos of the build which is great as I felt involved in the build.
We met a coupe of times to review how things were progressing before completion.
As well as a great design the project was delivered on time and to the agreed fee.
I’ve now had the guitar for over a month and play it at every opportunity. It has a great tone that will improve with age, the French Polish finish, as opposed to nitrocellulose, is excellent, it really brings out the beauty of the woods in used.
In short it’s been a great process working with Richard and the finished guitar is a work of true craftsmanship.
I would definitely recommend Richard if you’re thinking of having a custom guitar built."
SO'H, Nottinghamshire, England
"I have purchased two guitars made by Richard Arnold over the last three years. My first was a Flamenco Blanco FB1A in 2017 and secondly a Classical CS1A last year. The Flamenco was constructed with European Spruce table and Cypress back and sides, the Classical with Western Red Cedar and Indian Rosewood back and sides.
The designs and specifications were agreed under consultation with Richard, whose client interaction is very impressive. He also accommodated bespoke designs and even made the Flamenco guitar 100% vegetarian.
The construction and materials quality of the instruments is of an extremely high quality. As a professional player I have derived a great deal of pleasure from both instruments. They not only offer great aesthetic quality but also incomparable sound quality and tonal response. If you are serious about commissioning a bespoke instrument, I could not recommend Richard Arnold Guitars more highly." “The Cejilla arrived today. It’s a nice size and works well. I like the simplicity of it, too, and the way you’ve recycled the ebony from a piano. Thank you" - JW, Lincoln, England

"Thanks so much, I love it. Your cejilla really is beautiful. I am amazed at how well it matches the guitar; it really feels like they have both come from the same workshop. Thanks" - CNB, Cumbria, England
